I have two odd problems...
My speed touch connection says '2.2mbps' when i only have a 512kbps package. Now and again I will not be able to connect to anything, internet, msn.
But the two small screens in the bottom right corner still say connected??
Can anyone help me what I do?

| This may require a call to your ISP. Your 2.2 indicator may be the result of the recent upgrade carried out by BT to create a unified delivery speed. If you signed up for, and pay for, less than 2MB then your ISP may throttle your connection. Several users have experienced similar problems in Scotland & England; so the problem is not so strange. I experienced this at work where we pay for 512 yet the line runs at 2.2 - but we also have a static IP there and we know when the connection is phutt when the router reports a wacky IP address. This is a weekly problem, and I feel is related to choking us back to the 512 we pay for. But Mr ISP denies it. |
