AT&T Wi-Fi is AT&T's public wireless (Wi-Fi) access network. AT&T Wi-Fi is available in airports, participating Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, McDonalds, UPS Stores?, Mail Boxes Etc.?, coffee shops, cafes, sports arenas, restaurants, some state parks, and other retail locations.
There are two different ways you can connect to the AT&T Wi-Fi network. Select one of the options below:
• Wireless Network Card - Connecting to the Internet using one of the AT&T Wi-Fi public HotSpots.
• Laptop Connect Card - Connecting to the Internet using AT&T Wi-Fi Hotsport or through AT&T's 3G or EDGE networks.
Wireless Network Card - Connecting to one of the AT&T Wi-Fi public HotSpots
You are connected using your laptop computer or a Personal Digital Assistant with a Wi-Fi compliant (IEEE 802.11b or g) wireless Ethernet network interface card and a Web browser. You also need to utilize software on your computer to connect to our wireless network with the SSID (network name) attwifi.
After connecting to the network, attempt to browse to a public website. You will be see an AT&T Wi-Fi Welcome Page with various options that will let you connect to the Internet by purchasing a daily connection, using a membership/subscription, or using a prepaid card.
If you are experiencing a connection issue, visit our Wi-Fi Technical Support page or call AT&T Wi-Fi Support at 888-888-7520.
Laptop Connect Card - Connecting to the Internet Using AT&T Wi-Fi or through AT&T's 3G or EDGE Networks.
Using your Laptop Connect air card, you can access AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots and access the Internet through AT&T's3G and EDGE networks - whether traveling across town or in the U.S.
Visit Wireless Services from AT&T to learn more about this option.
If you are experiencing an issue connecting to the internet at an AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot or on an AT&T's 3G or EDGE networks, visit the Wireless Answer Center or call Wireless Services from AT&T at 800-331-0500.
